MS Wrestling practice also starts today in the HS auditorium 5:00-7:00 kids can be dropped off and picked up at the back door by the locker rooms. Athletes must have a current sports physical on file in the MS/HS office in order to play or practice. Also any past due sports fees need to be paid before going on to your next sport. ***
*** Monday 12/18 Middle School Girls Basketball practice starts Wednesday 3:00-5:00 in the HS gym. Open to all 5th - 8th grade girls. Middle School Wrestling practice starts Wednesday 5:00-7:00 in the HS auditorium. MS Wrestling is open to 4th - 8th grades 4th graders however will only be able to participate in a couple meets and no tourneys. FFA News: Congratulations to Brooke and Kate on making it on Top 15 at our first Dairy Food CDE and our team for making it to 5th place!!
We had so much fun participating and hope to place more in the future!
COMMUNITY NEWS: St. John’s Lutheran is teaming up again with the Hebron Public Library to host a festive event to raise funds for the Library Children’s Activities Fund. The event is free and we are taking donations along with an awesome raffle of terrific prizes!
We are also encouraging anyone big or small that would like to show their musical talent to also stop by and sing or play an instrument for the crowd!

AHHS: The AHHS freshmen class is hosting a glow-in-the-dark Staff v. Student volleyball game on Monday, December 18th at 7pm. The game will be located in the high school gym.
Come out and watch your favorite teachers play volleyball! Tickets will be $5 at the door. There will be snacks and giant glow sticks for sale!

This Sunday, December 10th from 9 a.m. to Noon we have our next stewardship day. (Lots to do this time of year!) We will move back across the road and work at the Tamarack West site, which is off refuge. Our first order of business is seed sowing. We will sow this seed into each of three savannas we have been clearing for the last year or more. We'll first meet at the west savanna, sow there, and then some of us will sow seed in the remaining two savannas.
Wear clothes and shoes that can get dirty, and please bring your own drinking water. Protective clothing such as long pants (not leggings) are recommended. We’ll have hand tools, workgloves, safety glasses, and a few snacks.
The Tamarack West site is on the south side of Tryon Grove Road, 1.2 miles west of the intersection of Routes 12, 31 and Tryon Grove Road. A map to the site from the intersection of Routes 12 and 31 and Tryon Grove Road is shown here:

On Sunday, December 3rd from 1 to 4 p.m., the Friends of Hackmatack will kick off the Schaid Savanna Oak Ecosystem Conservation Community Project.
Wear clothes and shoes that can get dirty, and please bring your own drinking water. Protective clothing such as long pants (not leggings) are recommended. We’ll have hand tools, work gloves, safety glasses, and a few snacks.
The access to the site is via a small lane off of Route 47. There are actually two lanes off of Route 47 at this location; turn into the lane that is furthest south. (The north lane is private and goes into some residences.) The turn-in lane is a bit hard to see, but look for the Hackmatack signs! The small lane into the site is located on the west side of Route 47, 4.6 miles south of Route 173 in Hebron, and 6.1 miles north of Route 120 in Woodstock. The turn-in lane is also 0.5 miles south of Thayer Road and just south of the Hackmatack parking lot on Route 47 and the bridge. The coordinates for the turn off road are: 42.4068644, -88.4382569.
